Hello, my name is David Favero. I'm a lifelong technologist and builder with a passion for pickleball since 2020 - so building LocalDink, from my home in Charleston, gives me the opportunity to build something which I am passionate about.....the absurdity of scheduling pickleball games amongst your friends.

I kept running into the same challenges everywhere I play: my hometown games in Charleston, my Atlanta games, and my games with a huge group at Lake Oconee in Georgia. There are unwieldy group texts, crazy WhatsApp chains, and a patchwork of clumsy tools that were never designed for this. Too many messages. Too much confusion. Too much effort just to get four people on a court at the same time.

Shouldn't there be a frictionless solution to schedule pickleball games?

So I started to build something - something that doesn't disrupt anyone's normal flow - it must be rooted in SMS texts; something utilizes AI in teh right way - to coordinate RSVPs, cancellations, and all the silly communication across that. I want to build a better way to organize groups, coordinate games, and cut through the noise. SMS because it's natural to us all plus an AI Agent to coordinate it all - I named it Robin.

It's something simple, social, and built specifically for pickleball.

The game is fun. Scheduling shouldn't be hard.
